typical newlyweds

Long, Long Trailer with Ball & Arnez wasn't too bad. It was the newlywed movie, much like Barefoot In the Park+ and others. Considering it was a 50s movie, it had more exposure than I thought it would. I forgot the level of physical comedy Lucille had done in the I Love Lucy Show. Here, there was physical comedy, the more elaborate stunts all-too obvisouly by a stunt double, but watchable.

It was no Money Pit, which as far as newlywed movies goes, I think was pretty darn good

+ personally I liked the stageplay, aired on HBO, with Richard Thomas and Bess Armstrong better than the movie with Redford and Fonda

First and second

First ... an ad placed in the center of the article (likely to be random for whomever opens the link) was for me -- women's shoes. Charming. Gee, those look great, let me just finish the rest of this article on a "remote practice".

Second:
While surfing the TV, I saw a bit of a show -- then the corner symbol appeared -- "Lifetime", I should have known.
"Well, you're a virgin", her friend condesendingly spoke matter of factly.
"How do you know?"
Her friend beside her rattles off the number of people who know she's a virgin. Okay, here I wonder "how" they know, seconded by, "why".

The girls are roused from their wonderful debate on the one's virginity when her brother called frantically about a clump of clothes in the creek. Oh, boy, a fragment of super muddy shirt, so what? The non-virginal girl pick up the shirt bit and off comes a white partial forearm. It broke from a whole body, lying face-dwon in the creek. Miraculously, it rose like a plank of wood after the tug. In an earlier scene, the virginal girl was going to go up the creepy attic, when two hands surprised and grabbed her waist pulling up the shirt slightly exposing her panties. The guy was her dad. Man ... that's just bad, sick directing and writing. It appears is was for visual, not incestual implications.

A virgin ... a murderer ... likely rapist ... a younger brother ... let me guesss.

The "appearing 14-16 year old" must allow herself to be raped to keep her brother safe, then through agony and pain and misery -- a bit of luck, she manages to pull him to safety and walk around physically unaffected minutes after the attack. The murderer rapist has already killed her female friend and has to be killed Jason-style 14 different ways in order for him to be finally done. The end will splash in some environmental issue and an ironic bit that makes sense only if you saw the first ten minutes of the movie.

Yeah ... I have seen a few Lifetime shows. I onced watched one without the ex ... it was as crappy and predictable as the rest, placing blame on the victim, making the woman audience both angry with men, and justified when she feel persecuted and she later brings misery on herself. I hate that!

Scarier than else

Female Genital Mutilation. I think one of the sickest so-called traditions, of which I have heard. According to researchers there is no religious basis for it, only to keep girls/women faithful to their husbands, for sex is no longer pleasurable. Moreover, the instruments used are generally non-surgical, the operation is not performed by surgeons, no sterile pieces are used and there isn't a procedure for the sugery. I would submit that the lack of procedure stems from it being a vile and cruel practice that is life threatening and does nothing to aid or help the patient.

What a sick practice. I think anyone who reads my blog and who has heard me talk on criminal punishment and control would have a pretty good idea of my policy on the perpetrators, much like Diry Harry Calihaun, "I shoot the bastards; that's my policy!" Welcome to the 21st century. End the practice -- now! While we're at it, stop slavery, NOW!

If you think slavery doesn't exist -- shame on you! If you think women are at par across the globe -- shame on you for not thinking and reading.

The damnest thing is that sometime soon, Lifetime or Oxygen will put on a movie about it, casting a girl in the role of victim ... and she asked for it. The "television for women" channel has a load of crap that both promotes victimhood and co-dependancy, as well as other ill ideas. This vile thing wouldn't be a stretch for them to do.

Smathering of the newz

John Kerry gets mouthy and says rude things. Thinking quickly like Mel Gibson or the Grinch, he claims no direct responsibility, but shifts blame to people who recorded his statements, who are ultimately to blame.

The military can't find some top ranking Iraqi insurgants because they can't find their own detainees who are AWOL. A "clever" soldier didn't want to go back to Iraq, so escaped to Canada and was caught. He was to return to court, but went missing again. Now there's a guy who could be in the CIA.

Iran pays $20 to attract tourists. Hey! Did I miss a meeting or aren't you still doing daily prayer of death to the infidel and the great Satan America (burn flags and effigies here). First, $20 isn't incentive for squat. Second, I don't want to be held for 444 days or slain quickly after a videotape denouncing America.
Dear Iran,
If you wish to get American tourists, stop killing and kidknapping them. Stop denouncing America in daily "prayer" and burning the flag. Stop supporting terrorism. When then comes about, and of course you stop the nuclear weapon program, then you might -- just might have some takers.

Democrats Needed

Thanks Oinion, that was really pretty funny!

Democrats needed on important mission lasting for 7 to 10 days. Worth a read!

from good ol' FW

Here is a person who has views, unafraid to share them and has more data on voting and candidates than I do. It's nice someone out there is doing it. FW News had a section tonight with political rundown on candidates. I differ on a few of their selections/recommendations, but the details there left me with ideas.

Online, political commentators remarked that some FWCS board candidates don't send their kids to school. One remarked with rather terrible English that it was due to convenience.

Well, there's a week left and I don't have every office quite yet, but I'm close

Locals

Some parents apparently don't have watches. This year, parents started at 5:54 and finished at 8:10. The kids, not to blame, were desperate to get candy.

I was reletively disappointed in the number of costumeless kids. Look, I know they are expensive, but put forth just a bit of effort, please. Moreover, only one group of kids greatly irked me. This little punks came up to the door, smoking, oen of whom was at least 16 years old. There was a 14 year old with them -- smoking. Nice!

Happy Halloween dweebs!

I saw a great number of kids and like others and to do an emergency candy run. I was going to take some shots of the treaters, but too many were without full masks. I was not interested in kid pictures, which really makes little sense and smells of sick intentions. I therefore, have no random kid picks.

There was quite a bit left from the second run of candy. My neice and her friends came over and then saw the folks. The folks are still ill. The girls didn't hang around for long. I got a chance to speak with my sister about a few things -- one of which, the reason behind my neice's sullen face.

Think of a tired dog, who's run around the block; or think of what to wear, that starts about the socks. Pants

Think of little pigs, or of mice that are blind find the right number, and you won't fall behind Three

Though I contain a w, it doesn't make a sound; my fate is never to be right, this poem is quite profound. Wrong

To the dump I haul, the garbage of the city; and I rhyme with duck, I hope you like this ditty. Truck

Two kids are running, and both try to win; I start with an 'r', and end with a grin. Race

Two pieces of bread, a food for your lunch; you choose what goes in, and then start to munch. Sandwich

Use me to sit on, for small kids I ‘m high; but don't stand on me, unless you can fly. Chair

Way up the mountain, the color of the snow; the color of those new sheets, and, yes, that new pillow. White

We grow in the garden, but we weren't invited; so we are pulled or sprayed, whenever we're sighted. Weeds

We're a bunch of flakes, whose name starts with s; think of white winters, and maybe you'll guess. Snow

What they will say things are, that do not cost a thing; while I rhyme well with tree, I don't rhyme well with ring. Free

Wheels on your feet, blades if there is ice; I begin with s, falling isn't nice. Skates

When something's not good, we say it is me; I start with a 'b', and end with a d. Bad

When you are not well, they say you are me; though it's just a cold, it's bedtime for thee. Sick

Which way do you look, to see that plane fly? And if you said down, no one would know why. Up

With feathers and wings, I’m able to fly; I start from a branch, and head for the sky. Bird, birds

With ter I can be cold, the trees are damp with snow; with ner it was my race, to best the rest, you know. Winter, winner

Yesterday is gone, they say, tomorrow lies ahead; I am the day you live in, until you go to bed. Today

You just crawl into me, and never count sheep; with blanket and pillow, you go right to sleep. Bed

You keep us in a box, and with us you do play; you hope to get some more, upon your next birthday. Toy, toys

You look at the words, and know what they say; I’m something to do, 'most every day. Read

You may call me burro, and I start with d; put a load on my back, you can count on me. Donkey

You need me to breathe, you need me to fly; I rhyme well with hair, but not well with tie. Air

You plant me in the ground, and give me lots of care; I grow up in the spring, with lots of flowers there. Seed, seeds

You switch the switch, from on to me; I start with 'o', and not with z. Off

You take me for a drive, and I start with c; but if I’m out of fuel, you won't ride in me. Car

You'll do me to your finger, if careless with that knife; do me to that chocolate cake, to get yourself a slice. What am I? Cut it, cut

You'll find me in your mouth, I help you talk and shout; and everybody knows, it's rude to stick me out. Tongue

Last bit to add to last entry

I don't take sides here, for both are bad, and they've shown it. I don't preport to be a party member, for I am not. I am a malcontent that sees too often, power abuse and illegitmate power use in ways contrary to the will of the public. If the government is supposed to be of, by and for the people, why is it so often in direct opposition to it? In government, I mean all three branches, including the judicial branch, which often goes unscathed through political sickness. Congress and Senate and President are often to blame, but rarely is the judicial branch suspect, but why?

They are appointed, not elected, and therefore not up for review or disciplining, save feloneous acts. Acts, considered misdemeanor are allowable of federal judges, as there is no dismissing them because of such crimes. Check out the history on them, find out that only felonies may get them disbarred. Local judges too share this reletive immunity from prosecution.

Scaring people into a POV

I don't care what side of the fence you're on, this complete bullcrap of "don't vote for ..." slogans get me pissed! They aren't, "vote for the best candidate (of this party) because they are best suited to better your area &/or America", it is, "this other group here is evil, so don't vote for them".

If they have nothing positive to say about their party's candidate, they shut up! Bad is bad and evil is evil. It seems to me that many slogans and campaigns are trying to show a difference between similar situations. I'll give you an example:

berating and belittling someone before firing him/her vs firing him/her then belittling and berating him/her

Is there a real difference between the two? I find this year a smathering of sickening "don't vote for" campaigns. Another, local, candidate is sending out fliers to all women for the candidate is a woman. Vote for me because I am a woman, not because I am the best suited for the job. How would I know, because I didn't get one, despite that I am listed as a [political party here] due to my primary election history.+

It seems to me that they have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the parties have bad candidates, some of whom will be elected. Joy of joys ... they've shown you why you shouldn't vote for them and how, after Nov. 8th, you'll have these bad people in office. That's just simply wonderful! They've done something I couldn't do ... shown that politics tend to be bad and that most don't serve the people, but rather continue an entity that protects itself from reproach.

It is a deplorable year, I can only hope that 2008 is more why I should vote for someone rather tha not for someone.

+ of course, during primaries, you must choose to select either people for Republican nominees or Democrat nominees. You may not select nominees for both during primaries. This is how they call you for political party calls. Jerks -- I'm neither and you should have no knowledge of my voting history or preference, according to balloting and voting systems.
