Gradually degenerating into ignorance and complacency.

When you're old, you're old

If you can recognize all or any of the computers or pictures shown, you are old. Sadly, I'm old.

UAW

For lack of a different union offer, as part of my job acceptance to one job -- I joined UAW. I didn't mind that the union stablized wages, but I thought it odd -- considering what I did. In my several union jobs, I found that too often, unions protected the ill-suited for real work. I would suggest that 20-60 % of those "protected" by unions were indeed incapable of holding a different job. Moreover, fighting companies to get them to pay wages and benefits for a "deisel fitter"+ that exceeded medical practioner's salaries was unreal. I'm glad that it finally (decades later) comes back to bite them in the ass. The question the media hasn't asked, are the dues staying the same or increasing? That is the right question.

Ford purging jobs after GM purges jobs; odd. No, not really odd -- just late in coming.

+ joke about a man getting a higher pay for a skilled job, not recognizing a line inspector for panties, "deze will fit her"

pat response

Politicians everywhere are stating, "I had my doubts when I stood in ovation clapping the military strike into Iraq". I clearly was mislead with misleading information, some of which I can't expose due to national security. I can condem the war in Iraq and put Bush on a spike. My comrads and I are rally against anything that popularity polls indicate is negative and jumping on board with the positive.

Yeah, war was bad idea. Yeah! Bring our boys home (when we're successful and look good), yeah! Social Security reform -- yeah! We don't have to have solutions, we only have to underscore the negative. It's Comedy Central's roast of George W. Bush; where most of both parties (this time unlovingly) roast him for things unpopular and overplayed by the media.

The rats leap from the cat (Bush) and deny any involvement. And thus ... the cat, having lost the race forever chases the rat. (Chinese astrology based on the great animal race to cross the river. The rat rode on the cat's back and leapt off at the last minute finishing 12th -- there were only 12 places allowed).

I don't like politics. I rather view myself as Rah from Plattoon, pointing out to Taylor that he came in admiring Barnes for the longest time, only now to try to crucify him. In the movie, Barnes died, Elias died, Taylor was injured terribly including burns, and Rah remained ever angry, ever ready.

Guy who can't shoot basketball, shoots anyway

Pittsburgh, PA: 5' 8" man shoots college kids/men who play basketball. I think, ultimately, it was jealousy as the short man couldn't slam dunk. His victims got slammed but didn't duck. In the end, no racially motivated crime here. There was an argument, ending in shooting. The shooter ran off into the foggy morning, hidden for no one to find.

JOB!
MONEY!
RELATIONSHIPS!

I smited the lovely lamb with my hate. The lamb was my soul.

Ich bin sour

I cannot find a smile. I am angry and can't vent. What I want to die is my anger. I hate it! Damn do I hate being pissed -- no vent, just eat the anger and let it digest, hoping it will pass. There are too many things to name. It isn't the little things -- the main issues are aching me.

I burn.
