I looked at an email or cover letter I sent. I removed the "resources" but left "human", so I sent Dear Human [person's name]. I suppose profanity is in order, but I'll stick with "I'm with stupid", arrow pointing to face.

Always, always, ALWAYS have someone ELSE read your stuff before you send it. When we first moved to Cincy, I probably sent out about 20 resumes applying for jobs in "Cincinatti." Good grief! No wonder I didn't get any phone calls for a month!

Anyway, I misspelled "Thank you for your consideration" on my resume. I spelled it "I'll see you in hell!"
