According to personnel and staff at the rehab hospital, Mom is doing so fine with independance athat she might be discharged mid-week, rather than end of week. The doctors and staff are meeting today to discuss her progess and likely discharge date. It may be in a couple of days -- Thursday, but no final word is yet available.
I'm glad that she worked hard for this. Generally, she is lazier and not interested in helping herself. Here, she either changed her heart or faked well an interest in growing. She's courteous with staff, obliging. She's tired often, but well. It will be good when she leaves and can work at home and live better with more flexiblity.
Father has been ill -- allergies and possible cold. I hope that he finally rests and wins the battle of colds with the cocktail and buffet of meds he has at his disposal. Where she will do out-patient rehab is still up in the air. I will have to talk with her case manager about where, when, how long (ballpark).
Gradually degenerating into ignorance and complacency.
