so, technically if I had worked since age 8

I could work for them.

I wonder how many 19 year olds have 10 years documented work.

Yeah... well... I tend to think they meant that they want you to expect to be with their company for at least 10 years. You know, so they don't have to hire someone else for that job anytime soon. Career, not a job, you know.
