Dog's Life, a Dogumentary is a short piece of crap by a self-absorbed neurotic wench who, miraculously finds other people's lives more important than her own, for a period of about 9 months, then ... back to the old me-me-me bit. After watching it, hoping that it was going to be amusing, I discovered that the dog was the intelligent one.

Woman found after possible sexual assault

Fort Wayne police are investigating whether a local woman was sexually assaulted before she woke up inside a downtown hotel lobby Sunday morning.

The woman met with police at a local hospital Sunday and said that she was wearing someone else’s pants when she woke up inside the hotel lobby. Her clothing was inside a trash bag by her side. She did not know who called her boyfriend and friend to come get her as her cell phone was no longer working, a police report said.

The victim said that she had gone to Piere’s Entertainment Center Saturday night. She blacked out about 2 a.m. Sunday, and her friend said that she had been dancing with a man who would not let her leave to go home, the report said.

The friend asked for Piere’s security staff to help her get the woman out of the bar but when she returned the woman and the man were gone. Piere’s paged the victim but she never reappeared.

The woman was taken to the Sexual Assault Treatment Center for an exam and interview, the report said.

Trying to be wiser at the polls

I find that incumbent or not, locally the better choices I see are Republicans, for those who care about parties. I really don't care which party, but I am interested in the person. The papers here (online) sometimes detail persons and their short bios. I have read a few ideas, as they were, from some locals who had some good ideas. Others were a bit off. I am compiling a short list for the polls to, hopefully, better and "more wisely" vote, having a better feel for more of the candidates. I have often been ignorant of too many candidates and haven't voted for a particular office, because I could not effectively vote, knowing nothing of any candidate.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch

Ohio lethally injected a self-proclaimed murdering prophet for the crime of killing a family of five, whom he found naughty in his eyes. He claimed to have heard God's voice and was directed to kill the family. Well, in stark opposition, in accordance with the law, the physician did not hear a call to stop or delay the exectution and did fulfill the state's obligation to execute this man.

Although I didn't see the evidence, I would suggest that a leader of an organization, herein a cult (based on his proclaimation that he was "more than a prophet"), he could very well lead others into more crime had he had access to them. This is clearly a good example of the type of person to execute. It was retalitory, but a tool to protect soceity from murderers, either in their own right or by conducting or eliciting other to do it. Think Koresh, Manson, et. al.

It could be said that I try feverishly to find error and that I'm a cynical because I love it, but ... I saw a movie that I will not critique. Polar Express is a movie that I would recommend. Undoubtedly many others have agreed that this is a good movie; story, dialogue, action, character development and arstic rendering. Alan Silvestri doing the music was alsoa great plus. I find him to be a rare talent. I was worried that Tom Hanks would run the show, but that certainly wasn't the case.

Nature retaliates

I missed a show the folks told me. Nature (PBS) had a show on how creatures were and are entering into suburban and urban areas causing trouble. The theory behind it is, urban sprawl and habitat encroachment pushes many species into darwin's adaptability paradigm. Here, either creatures adapt to siutations or become extinct. Since there are few places to exist beyond humans, they naturally progress into areas where humans are. Thereafter, there are stuggles until an equilibrium is reached eithere with a new relationship or one species being suppresssed or extinguished.

Darn, sounds good! I'll have to make a point to watch it.

I watched True Adventures of the Ultimate Spider Hunter and found it relying too heavily on Spiderman and Stan Lee. It was a Nature (PBS) show, but lacked some credibility with it's overuse of Stan Lee. The spider hunter himself was much like Steve Irwin. Oh, there's a spider ... let's touch it, hold it, see if we can get it to attack this stick! Oh, look how aggressive it's getting! Wow!

It really peeves me to see someone intentially toying with an animal and trying to provoke it into attacking to "scientically" show wondrous it is and how the laypersons of the world should hold a healthy respect for these creatures. Hey! Why don't the hosts practice what they preach and be less hypocritical and just observe and do some minor voice overs rather than jumping in and shouting hysterically about how neat it is that the creature is now defensive. Really! Go figure! There's a human a hundred or more times heavier and larger than they are.

Lame!

Using the ultimate in fast forwarding, I was able to see some pretty spectacular shots and spiders, but as a whole -- the plunky duck adventurer could have been changed.

Hanna Barbara's ark

HB did a religious series where kids time travel to different religious events. If you ever saw the Dungeons & Dragons cartoons, it's very similar in theme and style. The one I watched was Noah's Ark, which wasn't too bad, bringing across the point of harassment and evil of the people around. The "leap of faith" isn't in the miracle of the ship being built, nor in the gathering of pairs of animals, but in the English-speaking kids communicating with Noah and family and being ingratiated into the move with the ark. Here these 70s/80s kids with era-appropriate clothing launched into near pre-history. That's a leap! It's a cartoon, it's forgiven.

The creators didn't labor too many points and at 23 mintues, it was about the perfect length.

You can teach English in other countries, even if you only have a high school diploma. Eh? Isn't that, like ... gonna be trouble? I took this at hospital months ago. Now, I'm not blinded by anything ... say, like the sun that hasn't shown its full self in quite some time! My goodness this fall is gloomy! The only bright things are the colors, but sadly dulled with the gloom. I'd kinda like a nice, bright day -- maybe three before all the leaves are gone.

I have a couple of trees here that don't drop their leaves for just any storm or just any cold, but only severe cold or tornado wind. I'm not quite sure what's wrong with the trees, but they are greedy leave hoarders that keep raking a full-season job, regardless of the rest of the area. BTW: if you have a chain link fence ... you are going to get leaves and its inescapable. The leaves will be mostly neighbors' leaves.

Some time I'll see a shot like this again and shoot it with my camera rather than this lackluster pic from the cellphone.
