Hisspurr Anderson

Agent Smith:
As you can see, we've had our eye on you for some time now, Mr. Anderson. It seems that you've been living two lives (opposed to my nine). In one life, you're Thomas A. Anderson, program writer for a respectable software company, you have a social security number, you pay your taxes, and you help your landlady carry out her garbage. The other life is with vermin, where you go by the alias Neo and are guilty of virtually every crime we have a law for. One of these nine lives has a future, and one of them does not.
I'm going to be as forthcoming as I can be, Mr. Anderson. You're here because we need your help. We know that you've been contacted by a certain individual, a man who calls himself Mouseus. Now whatever you think you know about this man is irrelevant. He is considered by many authorities to be the most dangerous man alive. My colleagues believe that I am wasting my time with you but I believe that you wish to do the right thing. We're willing to wipe the cat box clean, give you a fresh start (with Fresh Step) and all that we're asking in return is your cooperation in bringing a known rodent to justice.

Neo:
Yeah. Wow, that sound like a really good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give catnip ... and you give me my phone call.

Agent Smith:
Um, Mr. Anderson. You disappoint me.

Neo:
You can't scare me with this Gato crap. I know my rights. I want my phone call.

Agent Smith:
Tell me, Mr. Anderson, what good is a phone call if you're unable to speak.... You're going to help us, Mr. Anderson whether you want to or not.

Cat's got his tongue...

God's work

While, I myself am displeased that I don't get instant gratification, it appears that God has worked hard on helping a friend of mine get a real job. He stands a good chance of working for the USDA on conditions that he finish up his degree while working. He has 1 or more years of college work done, mostly gen. ed., but certainly it is a great opportunity.

He was grieving the loss of his close grandfather who was a good and inspirational man. As one door closes, another opens.

"Thanks. Gramps is pulling some strings for me here."

Hanrooster

Will Smith is . . .

in nearly as many movies as Samuel L. Jackson.

Hancock; prepare for special effects and nothing-special acting or story. Uh, good ideas thrown together into a clump of coal for Christmas. Why not intro a personality turn-around yielding one and ONLY one hero? There were enough inconsistencies that it was bothersome.

One other little Easter Egg in the movie -- when the tornadoes are ripping apart the city, there is a too-tall man walking. perhaps a hint at a tangent story line.

Hancock, watch once. I think about Powerpuff Girls where the city of Townsville is torn asunder daily by monsters and the city manages to put it together again with what money? Movie too was cartoonish.

3 for the price of 3

I got to see a choir concert (love of my life's daughter) on Tuesday, teach parallel parking. On Wednesday, my niece turned 21, but doesn't like the taste of alcohol. That's good for her. Thursday, I drove with the love of my life to see her daughter baptized. It was held in a youth-oriented church center. Summarized: church for kids.

It was a long trip there and back. 5 hours each way doesn't sound bad until you drive it. I-70 was very boring.

Google suggested 30 to 69 to 465, that was right. It was WAY OFF with suggesting 70 through Indy. That was congested and wasteful. We avoided that on the trip back. Sadly, there was a slow state patrol car slowing everyone down. We finished our trip at 2 am. We were tired.

We were hard-pressed to find a place to change, however the church had large restrooms and we changed there. Thank God for that!

It's a good thing I don't miss sleeping.

option C

Automakers offered another option, B to prevent bankruptcy. The US should offer option C:

Cash out of Union, thus making the Union bankrupt, alter salaries to make automakers competitive and realistic, sell all present not-selling cars at a HUGE discount cutting warehousing and taxes.

2 can play at that game

not Leisure Suit Larry, by any means. Bible-thumping Mayor faces charges of bribery and more. I guess Sunday School classes skipped that whole "stealing" thing. When Larry Langford enters prison, I suspect the "lovin'" will be one-sided (or back-sided).

Charlie night

One night I got to see Charlie play football. It was fast, but Charlie wasn't really into it. Later we ate Indian food. Charlie and Tawnya palled around together and set about to tickle me. Charlie and Tawnya also battled it out on Guitar Hero.

Ted was OK, but not looking his best. Lori had more bad news as she was drifting away herself with min-strokes. Good parts of a day mixed with bad facets of life.

Thanks for dinner Keith!

What I missed, what I gained

I went with the love of my love to Indianapolis. We were to meet a friend of hers. While there I booked a hotel room. I looked around and found a comfy one for a good price. It is off-season so the price was better than I imagined. The room was bigger than my life.
That isn't a misstatement. I'm basic, I struggle and this had stuff I could not immediately use. The bed was nice; it was quiet; the kitchenette was great (went unused) and the bathroom had jets in the tub. Man was it relaxing for us to sit and unwind in there. She made it better with candles. I didn't bother with the mood music. By that late hour, we were so tired -- bed was for REST+.
We were able to meet my sister and brother-in-law for dinner and we ate Thai. The restaurant was cold and the food was spicy hot. The owner came out and talked a bit. He was used to minutes-fresh or hours-fresh in Thailand were they butchered on the spot, no freezing.
My sister and brother-in-law paid for dinner. Thank you!

My sinus infection prevented me from fully enjoying the weekend, but I enjoyed every positive thing about it.

While at her friend's I had a seventeen year-old cat sleep on my lap. He was a tired old man.

On the same weekend, I was supposed to go to my, "gosh-I'm-old-twentieth-high-school-reunion".

quit not acquitted

I will happily omit and change names to "protect" people.

I worked for a place helping people with specific needs while generally in a home setting. I was given a review of many prospective "clients" and accepted an assignment with a mildly challenging person who had many problems. I will call this client, Brunhilda. Brunhilda apparently had some latent and not so secretive dislike for genders and creeds of people. I was on two lists of 'people who Brunhilda will not like'.

Brunhilda, as the name might picture it was of a person who liked eating. Sad to say, Brunhilda would endanger herself with her eating. The picture at the top shows the refrigerator. Since she had little control, she was protected from her impulses by this measure.

Brunhilda had other issues, but in general her resistance (even to her own loss) was her strongest characteristic. After weeks of working with Brunhilda, I folded. I could not help her and feared that paired with my ineffectual partner Tenille would lead to Brunhilda's demise. I was not willing to enable her death, and not willing to suffer through false allegations brought against me as Brunhilda had done in the past.

First, I believe thanks to all the prayers and love given, Lori's surgery was fast and she got home a few hours after the surgery. I am very thankful and happy she is recovering. Her main concern, the wild woolly 90 pound puppies jumping on her.

I am glad to have you doing well Lori!

and Jack rested

It was terrible at the viewing. I didn't want, but had to see Jack. Damn that was terrible. I weighed more, or I thought I did, as if pillars holding my roof started giving way to the weight above. I was crushed and miserable.

Before I got there, I had no time to grieve. I had little time to grieve while there and when I got back, I had little time to grieve. I will fully let out soon before I burst.

The next morning was the funeral. Oh, but it was too quick. Perhaps I'm reading something into it, but I believe that Jack and God whispered a truth to me.

I looked again at the casket. That wasn't Jack. When I sat around the gathering of people -- there was Jack. Jack stayed and STAYS in the hearts and minds of those who knew him. I can see his wry smile and eye-twinkle in his children, and his compassion and love from all.

I wanted to hug him one last time. I wanted to see him smile one last time. I wanted to hear him one last time. There were a lot of lasts that I wanted. He would have suffered and so it would be to his suffering that I would have had him. I can't want that.

He has left a legacy far beyond genes -- family, but also in friends who he has touched, inspired, motivated, loved. They too have loved and found him to be a profound role model.

When people call out, "what is love", they don't know Jack. I know Jack, he's a friend, an uncle, an inspiration. I will, of course, miss his physical presence, but he has not gone. He is in everyone who ever met and knew him.

I expect to see Jack waiting for so many people to come to Heaven with him. He never looked down on people on Earth, he isn't now. He's still here, with us, teaching us not to look down either. Love, look forward, be a friend.

He has given his life to others. I can't write or ever say that my gift to him is equitable. Simple and lovable . . . I will miss our many before-lasts and our many lasts Uncle Jack. I love you and with you alive in others, past-tense is inappropriate.

OUT

My dear uncle Jack died on Saturday. Words can't express how I feel. I should be happy that he is no longer suffering and to that idea I cling. I selfishly want him around a bit longer. He is well and off to a better place awaiting many to join him. In Heaven, everyone can hear you sing!

Goodbye Uncle Jack!

I will be out of town a couple of days.

dinner 4 5

Well, it was murky how it would turn out, but my love Tawnya come down to see me. Keith, Lori, Charlie met us and I wasn't sure when we could coordinate meeting and didn't want Tawnya driving forever and getting lost so I cooked.

Without argument, I burnt the ruddy steak. The side benefit was that it was thoroughly cooked -- no blood. I cooked steak, fish, corn, peas, rice, cheddar hash browns, biscuits . . .

I suppose it was OK. I was repeatedly told that the steak was good, except for the burnt side. Whatever!

Charlie was bored quickly so we chatted while Charlie shot down ducks with Duck Hunt. Later, he wanted the boys to play Life the board game. I scraped a win barely, Charlie second and Keith "2 spinning fool" finished quite last.

We played simple penny poker: whammy game, cyclops, up-and-down-the-river, in-between.

I think we had a good time. It was great news for me -- slowly integrated family, friends, future.

suffice to say

I am no longer in pain. I am joyous and in great delight. I tried to resolve my pain. Thankfully with my true love Tawnya, my pain is vanquished, its evil never to return. I love you Tawnya, now, forever!

Not for lack of trying

Well, I am hoping that some of the readers from:

FW Politics

Mitch Harper

and of course

Beautiful City (Fort Wayne)

will read this story and wonder whom I should contact regarding the injustice. I contacted a local law firm suggesting two avenues to help this family with the disgraceful situation brought on by back luck and red tape. The following is from the email I received.

Cerpicio, if you would not like this included ... let me know.

Earlier this year my brother-in-law Matt had a lot of sewage back up into his basement. He called the city and it took three hours for a truck to show up. The city crew said they had the wrong truck and it took another two hours to get the right one. So for more than five hours sewage was pumping into their basement.

It is the city’s sewer system. Matt & Brandy didn’t do anything to cause the back-up and couldn’t have done anything to prevent it. They had to tear up the carpet and throw out a lot of things that were on the floor. They had to pay for someone to come in and sanitize the basement, too.

But the city isn't taking responsibility for it and Matt and Brandy are out a lot of money. Their insurance isn't covering it either. They've talked to people at city hall, and even had a news crew out to cover the story. During the story, a guy from the city said there is a known issue with the sewers in the neighborhood because all the restaurants in the area pour grease down the drain. The city comes out once a month with a camera to check for build up.

The city says it isn't their fault because they didn't know about it, but yet they have plans in place to monitor and fix the clogged sewers.

Here's a link to the news article (which also includes a link to the video):
