While under the veil of pain meds and pain my mother was repeatedly asked her DOB for verification -- right med for right patient; she grew tired of being continually asked. "You'd think you'd right it down" -- quite funny after the fact.
"It hurts, but it's worth it" (regarding her therapy).
"No one's every been happy in the therapy room -- we'd wonder what was going on"; nurse mentioned to us. We had a conversation about switching whiskey for the tea and hence -- less painful, goofy therapy sessions.
Gradually degenerating into ignorance and complacency.
