While I someone who might agree that it is appropriate, not to imply a good choice, CNN used "Gives You Hell" for transition music. Well, the instrumentation wouldn't have been bad, but ... it used the chorus."Hell" on a professional news network, especially as a theme is unprofessional.
"Gives you hell" could have been a negative slant toward the network itself -- nice going dummies.
I will also add the response that students watch news in the morning too. Again, great lack of thinking.
Somebody had too many dum-dum suckers at work I suspect.
